I'm sitting here drinking coffee, reflecting on last Friday. What happened last Friday, you ask? Well, in order to tell the story I have to go back a few days. My son (age 24) has a (homeless) friend who had been hanging out with him in the trailer in our backyard. The trailer is 26 ft long.. Sleeps up to six. Has a kitchen and a bathroom and a/c. It's livable. Anyway, he had been staying with my son, to get out of this desert heat. He's a nice enough kid. Always seemed respectful, talks only when he has something to say. Sometimes you forgot he was there he was so quiet. He, like my son indulges in the Mary Jane. No big deal.

Tuesday, I'm outside watering and I notice him sitting on the front porch. He's completely shaved his head. No big deal, we live in the desert, it's hot here. When I finish watering and start to head indoors, I notice that not only has he shaved his head but his eyebrows too! Okay, that's a bit concerning.

Wednesday, he comes into my kitchen and rearranges it. But he didn't clean a thing! Everything was put in rows about 4 inches apart. Kitchen cabinet's, pantry shelves and both refrigerators. I found meds in the fridge. Cleaning products that should have been under the sink on my pantry shelves. Canned foods in the fridge and under the sink. It was just, WOW!

Thursday was uneventful. He kept to himself. I noticed that he was cleaning up the backyard. Which is great! I appreciate his helpfulness and at least he wasn't in my kitchen messing things up again!

Friday, I'm sitting with my youngest son (age 20), my daughter (age 16) and my 4 yr old granddaughter. We're watching a video on my son's laptop. The front door opens and in walks my son's friend. Which under normal circumstances wouldn't have been a big deal. But the guy was in his birthday suit! My daughter and granddaughter cover their eyes. He walks through the living room into the kitchen. We're all in shock! I go to the kitchen and he's standing there with the freezer door open. I ask him if he want's ice? He says yes. I told him to go back to the trailer, put some clothes on and I would bring him some ice. He agreed.

I go tell Miguel what's going on, He and our 20 yr old son go into the backyard to ask him if he needs to go to the hospital. He's obviously in need. He told Miguel yes. Next thing you know, the guy is on the run! I have my daughter take my granddaughter into my room. We lock all the doors. I'm on the phone with 911. He run's around the neighborhood  for what seems to be an eternity. He comes back, get's his bike and starts riding it around the neighborhood. Still in his birthday suit! I think we called 911 3 times.

He abandons his bike and comes back in the yard. He seems to have calmed down. But no! Now he's getting combative with Miguel. Two other guys from across the street come to help. Now these guys are big guys. The nature boy isn't very big at all. It took 4 big guys to take him down and hog tie him to get him under control. Finally officer's arrive. They apologize for taking so long, but there was an armed robbery. Priorities ya know!

I don't know what this kid was on? PCP? Bath Salts?  But he had to have been on something for his mental state of mind to be like this. If not, then he has even worse mental health issues then my 24 yr old schizoaffective son has. It's really very sad though. I hope he's getting the help that he needs and I wish him the very best.

It's been a long damn visit and I'm ready to head back to Northern California!

Holy guacamole it was humid today! I walked outside this morning and my glasses fogged up! Thing is, I live in the desert! I've lived in California all my life. Mostly in Northern California. (I'm in extreme So Cal, so anything North of here is Northern) Correction! Come to think of it. I've lived half my life here in the desert.
How did I end up in the desert you ask? I was tricked! I was living in Weed California. My significant other is from the area that I live in now. We decided to come down here to visit. Well let me tell ya, it's been a long damn visit. Our oldest son was born down here and he's 24. Does that give you an idea of how long of a visit it's been?
We have two season's here in the desert. HOT and HOTTER! Winter's here are absolutely beautiful. The nights are cold. Hell, sometimes I have to cover my outdoor plants because of a freeze. Days are beautiful. Temps in the 80's. Makes it hard to complain.
Summer? Ugh! That's a different story! Some days are hotter then others. One day it will be a toasty 105° and the next day it will be a scorching 115°!  The humidity! I had no idea California had humidity until I "visited" here. I'd say the humidity is comparable to what the humidity is (what I remember it was like) in Wisconsin.
One thing about humidity? Who'd have known my hair was so curly?! I knew it had a wave to it. But OMG!! I can put it in ringlets it's so curly! Good thing it's past my shoulders. If it was short it would be a frizzier mess!

I've decided to take a hiatus from Facebook. It's really making me quit bitchy! I'm tired of all the political posts, and click bait. The untrue or partially true stories. Oh and the spelling, hard to take anyone serious when their spelling or internet abbreviated spelling is so bad or worse, DELIBERATE!

Some of those bad spellers are victims of auto correct or a misplaced finger. I can let that slide. But it's the obvious word after word that's being misspelled. The use of "u" for you and "y" for why and "bttr" is that used for better or butter?  To think some of those horrible spellers were in the same exact school system I was in. *sigh*

Let's not forget about those missing children. You know the one's who have been found already. They were either found safely or deceased. Could you imagine being the mother of one of those poor babies that was found dead. Being reminded that your child is no longer among the living. Seeing your child listed as still missing. Years after they were found, because someone didn't bother to find out the facts!

How about the pictures of children with hemangioma birthmarks, claiming they have cancer. Like, Share and say Amen! Facebook will give $1.00 for every like and share! Seriously?! Are people really that dumb?! Apparently they are! Some of those people are my family and friends!

I don't remember making a Facebook account. I do know that I made one and then forgot about it. I made an account in 2007 and didn't really start using it until 2009. I thought it would be a good way of keeping in contact with family members. I did find some long lost family members and old friends. But is my sanity really worth it? Is becoming a bitter bitch really worth it?
